A New Big Dome in Davao City

Philippine Arena has been established recently: a centerpiece of  the many grandiose projects by Iglesia ni Cristo for their centennial celebration last July 27, 2014. It is a multipurpose indoor arena at Ciudad de Victoria, a 140-hectare tourism enterprise zone in Bocaue and Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. With a maximum capacity of 55,000 people, it is the world's largest indoor arena and the largest mixed-use indoor theater.

However, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, head leader and founder of Kingdom of Jesus Christ Fellowship in Davao City has established his own arena call as the KJC King Dome.

"The KJC King Dome, is a multipurpose indoor arena under construction in Davao City. Originally planned solely as a cathedral for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ the Name Above Every Name Christian sect of Apollo Quiboloy, the arena will be also used for other events such as concerts, boxing events and basketball games.

The structure is being built beside the Francisco Bangoy (Davao) International Airport complex. The arena is planned to have a 30,000 capacity. The dome is scheduled to be operational by third quarter of 2016."*

at to what cost does this dome be?

"Davao City is angling to become the country’s newest sports mecca.

A 50,000-capacity sports arena costing P3 billion is currently under construction just beside the Davao International Airport and former North Cotabato Gov. Manny Piñol said over the weekend that pastor Apollo Quiboloy has grand plans.

Quiboloy has tapped Piñol, also a boxing promoter, to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Sonshine Sports Management, which intends to stage major shows once it is inaugurated in the first quarter of 2015.

Piñol said under his partnership with Sonshine Sports Management, Quiboloy has agreed to bankroll the campaign of his fighters, including Edrin Dapudong, Lorenzo Villanueva, Rolando Magbanua, Rommel Asenjo and Roskie Cristobal.

Quiboloy and Piñol have actually jumpstarted their team-up by staging a successful show in Davao last week.

“There will be bigger shows coming up,” said Piñol, stressing that Sonshine’s involvement is not limited to boxing “but to other sports where Filipinos can excel in.”

While the soon-to-rise sports venue will host the events of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ of which Quiboloy is the founding leader, Piñol was given assurance that it will embrace all other events “to show that Davao can play host to world-class events.”

Even the sport of golf is being given priority by Quiboloy, who has agreed to finance the talent search that will be done by Fil-Am David Guinoo-Heinen. Heinen has been tasked to find five young boys and five young girls who have potential to play in the big leagues."**

What can you say about this?
